We understand that trying to complete a Ventrac SSV Repair can be difficult. These units are typically used for sidewalk clearing at apartment complexes. One of our clients requested we take a look at their sidewalk snow equipment. After storing this unit for the winter, they found mice had made a nest and chewed through wiring.
Rest assured, Ignition Lawn Mower and Small Engine Repairs was able to get to the bottom of the problem! The customer called us, requesting we pick up their unit. The customer spoke to our mechanics, explaining how the wires were chewed, and the unit was not able to start. They were not sure if it was a simple wire repair, or if more was going on with the Ventrac.
Once the unit was brought to our shop we began diagnosing. The first step was to examine all the wires and see exactly what was damaged. Our technician found several wires were chewed partially through, and were causing grounding issues. We were able to get the unit started, but the engine was not firing properly because of the damaged wires. He replaced the wires, and attempted to start the machine again.
Ventrac SSV wiring repair and service
Once the machine started to run, we noticed the engine was still not operating at full capacity. We checked the valves and adjusted them slightly. After this we then performed a standard maintenance. Replacing the fuel filter, oil filter, and oil. Once this was complete we test run the unit again and had it operating like new! Our technician made sure to run the unit as well as the brush for 10 minutes, and make sure all functions were working. After completing the repairs, we notified the customer via our online portal and delivered the unit back to the snow removal contractor!
