Ignition Lawn Mower, and Small Engine Repair is your go-to destination for everything involving engine repair! This customer reached out to us inquiring about a Craftsman lawn tractor engine repair. They specifically requested that we replace the blades and possibly the cylinder head. We told the customer we would absolutely help them out and fix up their tractor engine! Right away, our mechanics diagnosed the machine and had these new parts ordered. We kept the customer updated via the Ignition client portal.
Once the cylinder head arrived, the mechanics got to work installing it and adjusting the valves. The engine started and ran as it should, so the process of installing the new blades began. While installing the blades they noticed the deck of the mower was off slightly. This was no setback for our mechanics as they checked the deck level and worked on the valve cover sealer. We left the sealer to dry for a few days.
Craftsman Lawn Tractor Engine Repair and Adjustments
After a few days, the valve sealer dried and the mechanics could test out the engine. They quickly noticed that the deck wouldn’t engage and the blade brake wouldn’t engage. Again, this was no obstacle for our mechanics. They began adjusting the left brake arm which was the solution to the small issue. Once adjusted, the deck was working good as new!
The customer was being notified during all of these steps through the portal. The muffler produced a faint oil smell while the engine was running, but we assured the customer that this smell would burn off quickly. With a completed repair, we were finally able to notify the customer that their lawn tractor was good to go. We sent over an invoice via email and had our driver deliver the customer’s fixed lawn tractor the next day! Our mechanics successfully and in a timely matter got the job done despite minor setbacks. Their work resulted in a very happy and satisfied customer!
