Scag Vride Hydraulic Pump Replacement

A customer brought in a Scag Vride which was leaking oil. The customer also informed us that the mower was having issues turning. Our mechanics took a look and were able to quickly discover the root of the issue which was a leak located in the right pump. It’s important for the right pump to be in pristine condition since it is responsible for feeding oil to the wheel motor. The wheel motor affects the mower’s turning capability. We proceeded by contacting the customer and explaining what was wrong with the mower. We also provided them with an estimate cost for the Scag Vride Hydraulic Pump Replacement. With the customer’s approval via the Ignition Lawn Mower & Small Engine Portal, our mechanics started ordering replacement parts. After receiving the parts our mechanics got to work replacing the damaged right pump.

Scag Vride Oil Hose and Hydraulic System Filter

While fixing up the pump, our mechanics noticed the a leak in the oil hose from the pump to the motor. This oil hose needs a replacement in order for this Scag Vride to run smoothly and efficiently. We informed the customer, through the portal, of what we found and provided another estimate. After the go ahead from the customer, our mechanics got to work ordering parts and replacing the oil hose right away. They also replaced the hydraulic system filter. This filter functions to eliminate contaminants from the hydraulic fluid and keeps the mower in perfect condition. Since the line was leaking there was a chance debris could of made its way into the hydraulic system, hence why it was replaced.

With a new right pump, oil hose, along and hydraulic system filter, this Scag Vride was running good as new. We notified the customer that their repair was done. They were able to come the next day and pick up their repaired mower and leave satisfied.
