Stihl KM 110R Repairs

Having issues with your combi unit can be inconvenient to say the least! One of our customers dropped off their Stihl KM 110R for repairs and informed us it would not start. They told us that it was sitting in the shed, and had not run in a long time. We informed them there are several things that can cause this, and we would have to evaluate it further.

One of our mechanics brought the Stihl combi unit into the shop and put on the table to start to diagnose. After a little investigating, it was clear the carburetor had some issues as well as the spark plug. This explains why the combi unit would not start. The fuel in the tank was several years old, and bad. Furthermore, we found the spark plug was completely corroded and clearly bad. It was clear the unit would need a new carburetor, new spark plug, and a complete tune up.

New Carburetor for Stihl KM 110R Repairs

Our client received the estimate via our online Ignition Lawn Mower & Small Engine portal and approved it. We then ordered the new carburetor and spark plug. Our mechanic quickly removed the old carburetor and plug. Shortly after, the new parts arrived and were installed. A complete tune-up was then performed. The combi unit was filled with mix gas, and test run several times. It was clear the Stihl combi unit would start and was running much better now!

Our client was then notified via text and email that their Stihl combi unit was ready for pick up. Once they came to pick up their equipment, our technician showed them the repairs, explained what signs to look out for in the future, and the client was thrilled to be able to get their piece of equipment back so quickly!
